Default question about torsion bars

possibly a&nbsp\\;dumb question but is there any reason one could not remove the lower control arm, turn it one "flat" on the t bar and reinstall in the name of raising the front of the truck without having to buy anything? would this be a reasonable lift or would it be something recalculous like 8"? or are they keyed to fit only one way? my bars are fully cranked btw.

Ya they only fit one way. But you could buy reindexted keys. They cost about $80 on ebay.com. They are turned just alittle from stock. These give a great lift.

actually a better question would be did you use the reindexed keys on your ride, and if so how much lift did you get?
