A/C problem

Default A/C problem

I have a 1991 dodge dakota, and im having a problem with the A/C it works and its the free-on is as full as it gets, but the problem im having is when i go to turn it on it gets cold on the first setting of the fan level and when i put it on high or anything else i can feel the hot air mixing it with it, what can i do to solve this problem?

souds like the blend door not operating properly

Thats what i figured, because the cable for the cold/heat adjuster is really stiff and i took apart the dash to just push the cable back in for cold and i think that was the problem all alone, i just got the truck so im not sure, thanks for the advise
