i have a dakota but this is for my other car. my 96 lincoln tc is acting funny. the battery is about 2 months old, so i can rule that out. when i come to a stop at night the instrument lights pulsate or flicker, the abs light and batt light come on when i put my foot on the brake. every so often i drive along and everything cuts out for a second and then comes back on. kinda stumped here, dont know if it is the batt, alternator or maybe the computer. anyone have any ideas?

 

Sounds like the alt. Or wires to the battery or alt. Make sure all wires are nice and tight. Most autoparts stores will test the batterys and alt. free. Just take them off and take them in. Since your there dubble check the battery too.
