Default Wiper Bushing Help

First of all this place is great lots of great information is gained through reading this site.

Now my problem is i think the wiper bushing in my 1995 dakota are bad. I have a very similar problem to someone in the boards. My problem is i cannot figure out how to get to them. I unbolted the 3 bolts around the motor. No Luck. I unscrewed the 6 screws on the grill looking thing between the hood and window.. no luck. how do i get to the linkage? I know i am an amatuer but this should not be this hard. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I am a wiz at working on computers but suck at cars.

Thanks In Advance.

you said you unscrewed the 6 screws on the "grill looking thing" (cowl), did you remove the cowl, that's your access point

they are a PITA to do. just takee the cowl off and pull the one off the motor and i take the three screws off the little things the wipers attach too and do it all outside of it and then put them back in there with the new bushings already assembled.

Be careful and take note the position of the linkage arms and the way they go. if you get them turned around or upside down they will not work. Also change the bushings on the linkage arms as well while you have it apart.

Tug on it a bit- Also you will have to remove the window washer water line to get the cowel out of the way. Be careful it is a plastic T junction and will crack/break. if the hose does not want to slip off cut it with a razor is long enough when you put it back on. i tried pulling mine off with pliers and broke the plastic part.
