Default wiring a roadgear radio

ok I got a problem I am trying to install jensen roadgear cd radio in my truck I know the wiring for the power on the radio is red/acc and memory and yellow is constant power and black is ground . now on the wiring power there is this The Grey plug is basically your power source. (Pink) and or (red and white) are your power sources, one is ignition triggered and one is a constant to keep the clock set. (Orange) illuminates the lights. (Black and Yellow) dimms the lights. (Similar to one or the rear speaker wires, so be careful.) now when i hook it with hooking the orange up I get nothing but when i hook the orange wire , i got to turn on my lights . can someone please tell me how to avoid this and how to wire it correctly thank you

don't use the orange, tape up the end and ignore it, that'll keep your lights from coming on, and the radio will still work, I only know cus I did the exact same thing on my Saturn years ago and scared myself, I thought I f-ed my car up
