flowmaster muffler installed backwards?
Hi all,
I few months ago I had a flowmaster 40 series delta flow installed on my truck by Muffler Man. Yesterday I pulled the bed off my truck and I see that the muffler was installed backwards. Could this be affecting the performance of my truck? Or maybe damaging the muffler or cat? I can't believe it. I paid the idiots $200 to just clamp a few pipes together and they but the damn thing on backwards. I think I'm gonna go in there tomorrow and demand that they put a whole new system on and then refund my $200.

With the delta flow baffles it could POSSIBLY be affecting the performance a little. Since they are in a V shape, with the point pointing forward, if it's backward you would get a reduced exhaust flow.
I talked to a flowmaster tech on the phone and he said that it could cause backpressure issues and lead to overheating. Do you think the sound will change once it's flipped around?
