Hello,
I have a 95 Dakota 4x4, 3.9, auto, 80,000 miles. The OD switch on the dash does not work sometimes and at the same time the AC stays ON with the AC switch turned OFF. When the OD switch doesn't work, the OD will not work.At other times the truckruns just fine, both AC and OD. I removed the single connection at the PCM and cleaned the connector. It worked the first time but has not worked since. Do I have a bad PCM or connector? Any ideas?

ounds like a bad connection too me if it works sometime and not all of the time. getting some electric plug cleaner and dieletric grease for it.

 

Thanks for the reply. I had the PCM disconnected overnight and I plugged the PCM in, connected the battery and everything worked fine.The overdrive button works and the AC shuts offwhen the AC button is turned off. I drove about 7 to 8 miles and shut the truck off. I restarted the truck and now the OD does not work and the AC is always on. I cleaned the PCM connector but this did not help. Any ideas?
