87 dodge dakota 4x4. The problem is with the front right tire. the backside or engine side of the tire right in the middle there is a center cylinder which is shifted to the side. The left tire is flush with whatever this is, which is what im trying to figure out. if anyone has ideas please help.

Do you have a picture of the problem? If youre talking about the tire itself i dont know, if your talking about the alignment of the tire it sounds like your caster is off. Any alignment shop could fix that.

there is no caster or camber adjustments on the 87 4x4. if the tire is wearing out on the inside then you probably have a bad balljoint. sound familiar folks? (although i'm not 100% sure what he's saying either). is the inner wear flat or cupped, if it's cupped it could be a tie rod end, if it's flat it's probably the balljoint.
