once again a car company (that includes them all) puts HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST IF WE WERE SUED FOR LOSS OF LIFE COMPARED TO THE COST OF A RECALL!
they took care of the majority of lawsuits by fixing the problem early, but most people tend to put it off if the truck is working ok. when it becomes a problem the recall has expired. how many people are going to get there truck fixed if there's nothing wrong.
then when a problem occures and someone dies, the company can always say "we had a recall". how many recall letters have you got in the mail? you read the top and it looks like a car manufacture advertisment, you throw it in the garbage. they are no longer responsible for any deaths in your family. instead of calling for a recall on balljoints they decided to allow the amount of play allowed in the joints to increase so they where flopping around real bad, but was past the warranty period.
i know i sound like ralph nader, but maybe he was right on a few things.
makes me sick! your daughters life is worth for more than $40 dollar joint.
