I'm not sure if there is a 4 barrel, but i know on the later 1st gens you can swap the v8 TB onto a V6, and i wonder if you could do the same with the carbed motors.

I know you want to keep it carbed, I was thinking if you couldn't find a 4 barrel for it, you could take the carb off a Dodge V8 motor, like a carbed 5.2 or 5.9

a 4 barrel might be a little much for the v6... you could mabey find a better 2 barrel of something for the v6.

You should get a nice small 4bbl, like a 500 would be ideal. Or in around there. and go with an edelbrock, or a stock dodge quaddra jet. Just the easiest

The 3.9 tows well, but it will bog out if you tow heavy weight. The wind won't help the cause. I really think going to a 4bbl isn't going to help you out.

you will have to change the intake for a 4-barrel. if you don't kick in the big barrels you can actually increase milage over stock. if you kick them in you will pay a premium at the pumps. the first barrels are smaller than stock, when you kick in the the the big barrels you fly.
i'm sure holly or elderbrock makes what you need (check there websites). get the 4 barrel dome for a 3.9 and hook it up to a holly 650 cfm double pumper. CFM is cubic feet per minite air intake.
your lucky you have a carbed truck, you can do a lot with it.
