towing question

Default towing question

i got a 94 v6 dakota 2 wd lol can i rent a tow doll and pull a 1989 mustang ??? would it be ok .it says 2000 lbs on the bumper .

I wouldn't pull it on the bumper, the bumpers on these buckle easily as they get older. Seen it happen with a lot less weight on it, you may get by with a tow bar so that the car is completely on the ground. The engine wouldn't be a problem at all, you'd be more than fine, there

Your best bet and safest is to buy a hitch. Most auto part shops can sell them. They are around $100 for the hitch and wires. Someplaces will install for free or cheep. Like pepboys, U-Haul. Like codydakota said the engine can handle it but you need to have the proper equipment.
