Ignition coil
Hi folks,
I gotta couple of questions about my 88 dakota 4X4, 5 speed with the 3.9 litre engine. and no a/c.
Anway the questions I have concern the coil. First off I noticed a stake on terminal still attached to the ignition coil with no wire on it. So I went and pulled a wiring diagram that shows it's a blk/gry wire that runs to B12 in the ECM. The question is what's it for and will it hurt anything if it's not connected? ( I also think someone ran the Tach off the other terminal since it's a single wire that goes throught the firewall)
I ran the codes on the truck btw and got a 33 and a 55. The 33 is apparently an ac clutch relay fault, but since I don't have an a/c unit, what gives?
Lastly, does anyone have a diagram of the ECM and what each terminal is for?
Thanks in advance

don't worry about the AC code, they throw these no matter what if you don't have AC. As for the mystery you ask about, the best I can say is if the truck is running fine now, don't worry about the wire, chances are if it were needed, it would come up on the codes or the truck would run funny.
