Truck is running again. New battery was needed, apparently the battery that was in the vehicle when I purchased it was far weaker than the vehicle calls for. Not a big problem, $90 later I've got a decent battery in there now. Truck is MUCH happier.

Now the fun part. I've found a drop-in intake for real cheap and I'm going to do some exhaust work here shortly- I found at Jegs a glasspack that's $20 that'll fit and the clamp for it won't cost much more than $15. I've got a hacksaw at the house and I'm going to cut off the exhaust about 4 inches behind the cat and mount this glasspack up. Should remove a considerable amount of restriction.

Spark plugs and exhaust/intake should be installed by next weekend. Next on the agenda afterwards is tires and a new front windshield. Gonna have to find a way to get a stereo in there too as whomever owned it before stripped it out. Going to have to a find a hood too, as it looks like they hit a deer, but I'm not positive on that. Camouflage paint to follow.

Just gotta find time to do that oil change....

I had a 93 5.2 dak years ago, and if I remember right, I think the ECM is located on the fenderwell on the passenger side---I'm really not totally sure, but if it is, this might be the trouble, corroded terminals on the computer or connection blocks. If you decide to pull the ECM and check it, disconnect the battery and turn on the headlights to ensure the no electrical energy remains in the vehicle. I think there is a screww in the center that has to be loosened, then gently pull the connector block loose. Check all the terminals for fouling then clean them with a fine wire brush. Before you re-install the connector, push silicone or lithium grease into the terminals to protect them from water/dirt embedding. I found this on mine once on a frosty morning after it had rained then frozen up overnight after driving hope in a sleet storm.

Good luck!!!
