Default need help with durango rear end conversion

I remember a short while ago a thread where one of ya'll put a durango rear end under your truck, but can't find it or remember who did it. I just got my hands on a chrysler 9.25 inch posi rear end assembly off of a 2001 dodge durango and would to know any problems you ran into while doing the swap or any tips you may have to make the swap go as smooth as possible. (I already know i'll have to weld the shock mounts onto it.)

it was not too bad. you will have to pull the springs out a little to get them to lock in the perches. i also just used the shock mounts for the durango(the ones that are used for the bottom of the u-bolt plate) and just flipped them around to where the are in the back, use the bake line off the 8.25 and you may need to change the pinion angle if you get a vibration, i am putting shims in mine hopefully tomorrow if i get them time, and i will go ahead and take some pics and do a write up so we can put it in the faq!

The one I used was out of a 99 R/T with 3.90 gears. which required cutting and welding one of the shock mounts.
I sure wish I had a 3.55. I dont have a overdrive. I am running a old 3 speed.

Do you want to just swap ring and pinion or complete diffs?
