i have been wanting to swap a 5 spd into my 93 w/ a 5.2 and i was just wondering if anyone knows if the factory 5 spd out of a 6/4 cyl. will bolt up to a 5.2 w/o needing an adapter plate and i would at least need a high perf clutch but i just need to know what will fit

 

It'll work, but the manual transmission will need a spacer type deal(too early for me to remember the name) for it to fit up to the motor. Also, I'm not sure if you would need a new driveshaft or not.

 

Only 1994 - 1996 V8's came with a NV3500 5-speed. That would be your best bet.

 

i would go aead and get a good v8 tranny like the one crazy was talking about. unless you really baby the truck and dont bang the gears...but then why would you be doing the swap, lol.
