cool man. I'm in the Torrington area. I been running Power Wagons, R/C's and Traildusters for years, but this is my first Dakota. There's a lot of old Mopars out in the woods of CT. Still trying to work out a few bugs with the Dakota at the moment. She was sitting for awhile before I got my hands on it

Mine was sitting for a while too, it still has acorns inside the hood and i think theres a mouse nest in the heating duct. Bought it at saybrook auction sales in old saybrook. It doesnt really need much except for maybe shocks their kind of rusty but are ok. I changed the rear end (limited slip) fluid and gave it a tuneup but not much else.

My whole air cleaner was packed full of acorns and pine needles from mice. The truck wasn't advertised, just sitting in somebody's yard and I stopped to check it out. The V-8 badge caught my eye, fired it up, drove it around and next thing you know, the paperwork was signed and I was loading it on the trailer lol. It could really use a limited slip. This open diff has got to go.

Hey all, first post.. I usually just lurk and do research. Anyways, I'm from Appleton, Wisconsin and figured I could share a few pics and some info on my truck. It's a Flame Red '95 CC 2wd 5-speed that I picked up last spring for a song. Only has 138,XXX miles on it. The truck was originally a V6 until I got bored with it. Picked up a 5.2 from the junk yard with only a couple thousand more miles than the truck itself. Tore it down and went through it, put it back together with some fresh parts and plopped it in the truck. Blew the syncros out in the trans in December and found an NV3500 in the JY for it. Got that rebuilt and it is now waiting to be slid in. Only other things I've added are Gibson shorties, 2.25" y-pipe into a single 3" exhaust dumped over the rear axle, Harland Sharp roller rockers, ported throttle body, modded kegger, electric fan, A/C delete, bench seat from an '88, sport mirrors, black hood/cowl, 2" lowering blocks out back and the shorter shifter from an '01. Oh, it has 235/70/15's on it too. Drop spindles, 2.02 heads with a full P&P, MP computer, 3.90's and sure grip this summer. Oh! It's my tow pig winter beater

And a random pic with my other baby. '02 Ranger XLT 4x4 super cab 4.0 5-speed with a hurst shifter, 5 inches of lift, custom bumpers, 33x12.50 Duratracs, 4.10 gears, full Kenwood excelon stereo and a bunch of factory mods... Explorer over head console, mustang dome light, mountaineer dual sun visors etc..

You seriously need the lower plastic bumper on that truck! It will make a night and day difference. Right now I can't get past how it looks without that. They are $70 Shipped to your door off of ebay.

Default New Member from Kansas

New member from Kansas and 1st time Dakota Owner. Just bought a 95 regular cab long bed 4x4 slt with the 5.2 and auto. 146,000 miles and runs good to me.
I think i got a really good deal at $2100.00. So far, tires and shocks on 4 corners, and that egr transducer thing.
Bought a Leer High Top topper for $200.00 and even half way matches color. Really happy with the truck, plan on enjoying for many years.
Runs great, going to make a great rig for fishing and wheeling this part of the country.
