Default Couple of Problems

I have recently noticed a drop in gas mileage. I was getting 23-26mpg now i get around 17. Also if i push the gas and let off quickly the truck sputters and jumps then dies. Any ideas. I have a 95 with the V6.

Thanks.

Do you have any check engine lights? It can be multible possiblitys. From a map sensor to O2 to IAC valve. Does it do it when its cold? warm? all day? all speeds? Need more info!

Well it happens all the time, hot, cold it doesnt matter. Yes i have a check engine light that has been coming on for awhile. I had a mechanic check the codes earlier this year when the light started coming on but it had no codes. Light has been coming on for about a year.

If the check engine light is coming on this would be the first thing to check. See what the code is. In the FAQ there is a link to show you how to read codes without a scanner. Its easy anyone can do it. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/general-tech/8717-service-engine-codes-for-obd-engines.html

You can also go to most autoparts stores and they can read them for free with a scanner. Like autozone checkers and others.

How hard is that to change. Is that something I can do myself or do I need to take it in?

2 bolts, a vacuum hose, and a electrical connector and its off.

And it is located on the back of the intake manifold has a giant saucer attached to it
