well i got my Proportioning Valve installed and it works great! the back brakes are not locking up anymore and it stops even better. it is only adjusted half way so i can screw it down at the track or silly burnout pics! I just used a piece of already made tubing from napa and screwed it into the abs block and then the line coming out of the block to the valve. just welded a little bracket and bolted it to the flat spot on the fender so the bolt cant hit the tire if it bottoms out.

Sweet! I realy wanted to do that a while back when I was at the track everyother weekend. (When it was 2wd) I WON my first burnout contest. That was when the truck was basicly stock. Ill post up in FAQ. Where did you get it. Summit? If so post up the link. Was the threads the same for the abs as well as the valve? Do you know what it is?

one of my buddys gave it too me, it is pretty much the same as this one http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku. i was going to get that one until i got the free one! and the threads were the same, just bolted right in there. you need to tighten up crazy! lol.

Just out of curiosity, if you have ABS, why were your brakes locking up? This thread just caught my attention cause I finally got the 9.25 rear swap done this weekend and I was worried about the ABS not working cause i didnt know if the new sensor would talk to the truck since the axle assembly came out of a '01 durango and my truck is a '95. I had actually been looking at getting a proportioning valve just in case but when i spliced the old connector to the new abs sensor it worked great.

Thats surprising, cause the bigger brakes that are on mine now havent locked up on me without me trying to lock them up. But the truck definatley stops faster. But as for the swap, it was a 5 1/2 hour project with a buddy of mine helping, and the funny thing about how long it took is that it couldnt have gone smoother, it just took a while. The axle came off of a 2wd, my truck is a 4x4, so i had to cut the spring perches off and get new ones to weld on top of the axle. But we had an angle finder so we got the pinion angle right on the first try. The only thing I have left to do is hook the E-brake cables up. Both the cables on the new axle go to the left side, and on the old one the cables are on each side. How did you solve that problem? Did you put the old cables in the new brakes or did you make a custom mount and move both the cables on the truck to the left side?
