Default Trouble with ABS and Shutoff

My truck has been killing itself out at a light and when I stop at stop sings, unless I put the truck in neutral. Someone told me to try the EGR valve to check if it was clogged, I did that, and broke the oil sending unit, replace it, changed the battery and nothing has changed, I also replaced all spark plugs and wires, cap, and rotary button, nothing changed. I have only had this prblem since the weather has gotten colder. I am getting to a loss, my fuel pump is working fine, but no clue as to what it could be now. Also a few months back my ABS light came on, not sure why, just happened one day. What could I do about that?

Are you getting a check engine light? If so you can check it easly. Go to the FAQ it has a post on how to check along with what the codes are!

The Idle problem could be IAC valve. Take it off clean it up and make sure it moves freely. Or relpace it. As for the abs light is it still on? It could have been a bad wire or water got inside a wire or so. are your brakes okay?

A 96 can be a lot different from an 87 lets say! So you might try telling people what the heck you drive. You might get a lot more answers from people.

Usually if it's the IAC,it won't idle period. But, you never know I guess. And since you have the trans problem in the other thread, I'd say fix that first. And when/if you do, replace the TC also. Because that can also cause this problem.

Well I cleaned the IAC and it runs better than ever but the IAC did not move freely when I pulled it out, isnt it supposed to rotate?

it moved a little to the right and left. but not freely, any quick fix? I just hate putting the truck in neutral when I have to stop at a stop sign or or light.
