i tried that along time ago, for some reason it wont make any nose unless there is weight on it. But yesterday i finally convinced myself after 6 good long years i am gonna trade it in for a diesel in 2010 when i get back from Iraq.

the only thing i can think of would be a bearing then in that scenario. maybe a defect bearing

Default Same problem

I'm having the same issue with my bearing mine is the front left though and is not making any noise that I can distinguish. I recently had a flat and while attempting to change it found the inside of my tire was rubbing on something. After I realized it was the shock bracket I replaced the wheel and checked for play (slop) and it had about 1/2 to 1 inch movement. My question is is the hub assembly for 2wd and 4wd or just 4wd. I found a regular bearing at O'reiley's but it also has the hub. Autozone has my hub assbly for $127. Would it be a good idea to replace the rotor as well or should it be OK. My truck has 117,000 miles on it and recently had the tranny rebuilt. I'm getting the whirring sound from the Drive shaft. I think it's time for an upgrade I love my truck but it is starting to become an ex-wife just wants me to spend money on it. My flat was caused by my rim being bent anyone know where I can order a stock three spoke OEM alloy wheel for this truck? less than $100 (the cost of straighting it)

Thanks guys

No the wheel bearings for 4wd and 2wd are verry different. For the rim your best bet is a local junkyard or www.ebay.com
