Default Lifting the torsion bars past the rubber stops

Has anyone removed or ground down the rubber stops on the control arms in order to get more lift out of the torsion bars? If so, do the factory length shocks still fit without being hyperextended at full flex?

The torsion bars fully cranked give you about 2", there are torsion keys available on ebay, that will allow you to go higher, not sure on the stock shocks and whether or not they would work or not. I think CRAZY would know that best, he's done some sweet things to his truck

I think hes using the lift keys already. There is a point where you dont want to go higher due to the torsion bar will be bending due to not having the back end further down. That is why lift kits incude a bracket to drop the rear of the torsion bar. For me I cranked the up untill I saw bending. Then I back it down till I like the way it looked. I think my bump stops are torn off. So I can't tell you if mine are tuching it.

Ok, I kinda figured I had them as far as they could go; and you are correct, I am already using keys. I have them up to the point where the rubber stops are about a millimeter from the control arms. It makes for a really rough ride when I hit a bump and the truck comes back up and the stops hit, but you can't win it all. I guess I'll be looking at a body lift kit in the near future. The reason I was asking in the first place was to give my new tires just a little bit more clearence. They only rub when I have the wheels turned kinda sharp and hit a bump.
