Default 33s need more lift? Headers?

I read the faqs on the lift, and I am still weary of putting 33x12.50 on my 88 after putting keys and body lift on. Has anyone done this, was there any rubbing, will I need to cut, and will this even work? Also will long tube headers fit or will I need to go with shorty's? i'm wanting to run true duals, is there a way around the Y-pipe that wont break my wallet? Thanks again, NB....

I have 33s on a 93 with lift keys and body lift. With both together you dont need to cut. A few others have 33s too. When I just had the body lift I did have to cut just a corner because it was sharp. But with both lifts it clears easly. But the 88's are just a little different. On this site he has the 3 in body lift and 4in suspention lift. It is taller then what yours but just to see about the fenders.

As for the headers. If you get shortys they will fit perfectly with the stock pipes. If you want the long tube you will have to cut and weld in the new pipes. If its a daily driver or even just a normal v6 shortys is all you need. Long tobe is to much for a stock v6.

on mine all I did was cut the lip on the bottom of the fender then pounded the fender in as much as I could. I might even go as far as crazy did and cut out alot of the fender.
