Default Running out of ideas... Fuel gauge not working...

The low fuel light is on and the gauge shows empty. I just replaced my fuel pump and I know its in the tank correctly and that the float is not stuck. The gauge was showing empty before I changed the pump too. I have the color codes figured out for the wiring on the pump and truck wiring to the pump. I just am not sure how to test this type of sending unit.

The unit has three wires. I think the middle wire is ground.

I posted some info on another forum so instead of re posting please read what is already posted.

Any help at all VERY much appreciated!!

In the FAQ there is a write up on this issue. It happends to alot of these trucks. It may also be the wires. In the FAQ there are wiring diagrams.

Read the 94 and it had lots of useful info. I didnt think it would be the same as the 93, maybe close but it seems to be right on. Thanks for the help, just need to get the dash apart now and check the wiring and gauge.

The wiring and gauge seem to be all fine. Im thinking its the position of the pump. Does anyone have a picture of there pump on the tank or can someone take a picture from in the fender area? If I can see how the top of the pump is supposed to sit, it might be a case of just rotating the pump.
