Default Bigger Tires?

Okay Here is my question I just bought a 2inch body lift for my 1992 Daktoa it has the 5.2 along with 218,000 miles on it My plan was to put some BF goodwrich T/A KO's probally like 33x12.5x15 my question is do I need to worry about the possiblity of my trannie prematurally blowing out. Is this something I should worry about amybe stick with some 32's I'd like to stick with 33's but i dont need a blown out trannie all advice would be helpful I see that alot of guys run those 33's.

If you're too worried about you can change the rear end gears and it would be fine. If you have 3.55's you can change them to 3.90s

You could squeeze the 33s with a 2in body lift but you also should crank up the torsion bars. Or even better get the lift keys. You will need more room so you don't scrap the fenders on the tires. You may have to cut back corner of the front fenders. And like said above change the gear ratios (back and front) will help with gas mileage and power, and will bring your speedo back into almost stock.FAQ2 has the link of where to buy and other lift ideas. You wont burn up the tranny just upgrade the gears.

I have the Torsin bars already cranked up. So just to be sure with the body and torsin bars 33's will fit I looked at the FAQ and it siad that would but I just want a second opinon from other people with 33

Yes, but not all 33's are exactly the same. And not all trucks are the same. So do expect some trimming if needed.

im thinking the 12.5 width might cause some problems, i know on my 89 with stock rims the 10.5 inch wide would rub, i changed to american racing baja rims lately and there is just enough offset that i think next time i can go back to the wider tires. im just lifted with the torsions, a 31 x 10.5 is about max for me and with the 3.9 i have ive robbed enough power, was passed by a greyhound bus the other day while pulling my trailer. i love the KO's, something to do at the tire place is roll one up to another model, they appear larger in diameter, the 32 might be as large as a 33 in another model and the built in rim protector on the tire is a great feature.

agreed
take some measurements of the tire distances on the truck, my passenger wheel sits about a half inch further back than the drivers side which can cause problems as well if your trying to push the limits. if i wanted to try 32's i would need to do some tugging on a frame straightener
