i have a 96 Dakota with a 5.2 automatic. i was looking into the programmers and there aren't any for the 96. is there any chance that one that fits a 97 5.2 would work? they both have an obdII port and the 96 is a computer controlled tranny i think. any input is appreciated

 

Under FAQ2 there are several links that will work for you. I would think the gen 2 may work. But may not. The gen 2 computers are differnt then the 96.
