Default Trans pan question.

Can anyone tell me if the a-904 and a-500 have the same pan. A friend of mine has a bad a-904 with an aftermarket deep pan, and he said he would send me the pan, but i dont see any point to getting it unless it will work on my tranny. My wife says i already have enough parts laying around that dont go to anything we own, and i dont need any more. My truck is a 1991 dakota 4x4 with an a-500 automatic. Thanx for your help.

I would take a look at it if you can, or get measurements on it and compare to yours and see if it's going to work

The bolt pattern is the same. But the 500 has a extra deep pan to accommodate the extra overdrive valve body.

Thats what i have heard from a few people, and that as long as the one he has is deep enough, it should work, but i am going to have him measure the depth tomorrow and let me know.
