Default speed sensor

I have owned the truck now for three years and at lower speeds the speedometer will bob up and down til you reach about 30 or 35 MPH then it is smooth and accurate. Is this a problem with the speed sensor? If so, can I fix it? Or do I have to spend the 100 bucks to replace it?

Sounds like it is the speedo cable. Replace the cable and that should take care of it.

I called a couple parts stores and they say that they dont have a listing for a speedometer cable for my truck. That all they are listing is the speed sensor.

I guess I will be using rockauto
