Look, I'm new here but I've been messing with cars/trucks for over 35 years and have pretty much done it all, drag cars, show cars, off roaders, rebuilt auto trans, motors, axles, but windshields are the one thing I leave to the experts.

In the old Dodge trucks (pre 93) that were mounted in rubber gasket, I would tackle it, but newer vehicles that use the windshield as structural support, I'm just a little afraid of doing it. I got a new windshield from Safelite, 280.00 installed in my driveway with a 12 month warranty.

It's not that hard, you just need a tool to cut the old windshield out, has a hook shaped blade and a handle connected to a metal cable that you use to pull it around. Then clean all the old adhesive off, apply new adhesive with a caulking gun. You'll need a helper to set the new windshield in place, obviously. Just use the right adhesive and prep the surface properly and you'll be fine.
