surging while idleing

Default surging while idleing

as per my previous post, i got it figured out and runs better. but it is surging while sitting idleing. hot or cold. any ideas, comments? thank you 1988 dak, 3.9 auto 177,000 4x4

I saw the other one first. Well what was it? For surging it may be a vacuum leak or the IAC Idle Air Control valve. These tend to seize up.

changed cap and wires,rotor and plugs. i matched wire for wire, but turns out previous owner had wires on wrong spot on cap. got the firing order and cap location from autozone.com redid and works pretty well now. just gotta figure out the surge now. will check IAC. thank you
