Default Control Arm... Brake questions

Well, finally broke down and ordered a new control arm
Upper right. Came to $215. Ouch!
*edit* F**k f**k f**k!!! Son of a b**ch!! Part is no longer available. I went to one of those online junkyard things last night, but all the replies I've gotten back so far are for lower control arms, not uppers.

I still need to find out how to press out the bushings on the upper left without causing the same damage.
Unless someone can chime in with a good suggestion, I might scrap the idea of replacing the other upper control arms bushings and just get this project done with! I'm tired of my truck being parked in the garage, and I'm sick of not being able to get more work done because I have no way to transport supplies!!

For the brake part, basically, I have all new brake stuff (master cylinder, booster, and all 4 corners), and I would like to replace the brake lines while I'm at it.
I picked up a few short pieces of line at a local parts store, just to check out which sizes I will need, and only one of the two holes would "start" on the new master cylinder. (The bigger one won't start, the smaller one is just fine)
It started just fine on one of the brake calipers I tried, so do you think I should return the master cylinder for a differant one (manufacturing defect), or does it just need a little more "help" to get started?

that sucks about the control arms! good choice of words too, lol. as far as the brake lines go does the old line screw into the master? if anything you can take the master up there and compare with other fittings and it is a pos then you can exchange it. the guys at advance kow me so well i just go back there and compare stuff and bring it up there, lol. know what you mean about the truck just sitting around too, seems like it sits still longer than it runs!!! and i drive it the least and it gets the worst mileage but i keep pouring endless amouts of money into it! but its nice and it will haul *** so its worth it.

Well, the good news:
Just ordered both control arms from some of these junk yards you can find online. Combined, both came to under $120.
Upper, as stated before, because it's bent in a good inch or two. Lower, because I'd rather not mess with trying to drill out that stinking bolt with extractor broke off in it.

After the truck is up and running, I'll have to plan for a future SFS swap, based on a setup I'd actually be able to get parts for!!

To think: my truck has been on the garage for pretty much exactly 3 months now.

The bolt that broke on the lower control arm, was that the bolt for the front shocks? I haven't been able to replace my front shocks since I got the truck 3 years ago. I've replaced the rears twice already. Those bolts are in there big time. I don't have a hot torch so I've been trying a hand-held propane torch, that's totally worthless. I'm scared of breaking them and having to replace the control arms.

Yes, it was the bolt for the shock.

Those bolts should be soft enough to drill out. Just get you a good drill bit (I like DeWalt brand) and some oil to keep the bit cool and go for it. If it is broke off in there just try it, what do you have to loose?
