Default Painted the dash

Well got the dash back togeter for the most part. I am going to paint the cup holder part and the trim around the instruments and a/c the same color as the outside of the truck, with clear and everything. I think it looks pretty good, i used the duplicolor flat black vinal and fabric paint. still got to get new carpet and seats and paint everything else to match! but the hardest part is over at least.

Looks good! I like it! Don't forget to get a good dash cover. It will save your hard work from the sun!

Looks good! I really wanna do mine, but I'm currently sick of working on the truck after the trans swap, so I'll have to give it a few months.

looks great, though i gotta ask, what is the switch on the bottom of the dash for? I noticed 95 had one too in the same place? Not sure what it's for, but something tells me it'd be good to have one...

Lol, thats exactly what mine is for. When I do the engine swap I'll hook it up with a thermo switch, but for now I'll flip it on when I need to.

WOW! that looks sweet. I hope mine turns out that well. I'll be covering that nasty red interior they came with...yuk! Did you use any special solvents for prep before the paint?

i cleaned it with fast orange hand cleaner and a scotch brite pad at first so get all of the main poo off of it. then went back with dawn dish soap and scrubbed it real good with a brush. and before i painted i i wiped it down with a rag with some alcohol and ran over it with a tack rag to get the fuzz off. turned out great and the paint it pretty tough!
