A '94 is a 1st gen dakota, so this thread should be moved...
But to answer your question, yes the transmissions are compatible. You'll want to use the flex plate for the v6, but the transmission will bolt up. A 46rh is basically a "beefed up" 42rh, and the engine blocks are identical except for the extra 2 cylinders.
