Flex Pics (just for fun)
Now the front LSD I'll be jealous!
thank you 95 318. I was wondering, where did you get those fender flares? Im getting ready to do a sas on mine with axles from a 98 ram. that extra coverage would be nice. I love the powertrax, easy in corners and if you want to drift it it will drift.
First off, I'd buy a real spool before I'd trust a welded up open differential... too likely to blow up and destroy the entire axle. Secondly, running a spool is a disasterous on a set of tires and 35s aren't cheap to begin with! Thirdly, running a spool in the front, or even a locker, would mean that I can't run AWD on my truck, so the time I spent on that transfer case swap would be thrown out the door. Fourthly, I wouldn't get better traction for any offroading I'd ever do with two spools than with a rear locker and front lsd, and besides, this truck is my dd.
I got those from a guy on craigslist... ended up getting a brand new set for half the retail price. But you can get them from summitracing and several other places. Just do a google search for "Bushwacker extend-a-fender flares" for our truck. I'll warn you though, they aren't cheap!!!
Wow, is everyone doing a SAS now?!?!

So they are bushwacker, cool. Not everyone is doing an sas. just the ones that want a bit more from these little trucks. I was going to do a 24v 6bt swap but havent had the time or money yet. I have the donor truck. lol.
Can't agree with you more! I love mine! Nothing compares to a full locker on the trail.
