Default New member... Just saying hi...

Hey guys, New member here from ND.

Currently driving a 95 dakota Magnum 5.2 Bone stock thus far, but only 70,000 on the clock.
was an upgrade from my V6 dakota.
Also own a loaded 02 durango with a couple cosmetic upgrades.
was an upgrade from a 98 neon.

Definately Dodge at heart!

Try to get some photos up when I get home... bored at work right now.

Came here looking for some info to beef up the Dakota. I'll keep digging before I post already covered questions.

I know, right!... Bought it off a farmer for $2300 last summer! Its in decent shape. really minor hail on the hood and the dreaded dodge paint problems, but I plan on painting this summer anyway.
Had to put a started in it and I think the fuel pump is going cuz it dosent hold pressure when its shut off for more than an hour.
but worth the $$ IMO.

Ah yes, the dreaded dodge paint problems. I repainted my truck last summer cause it had a big ugly silver stripe running down the side that was peeling off. Just make sure you strip it down to the bare metal before repainting it. Chemical stripping it with aircraft paint stripper is the fastest way to go.

My 93 dakota had the same issues. it was blue with the silver stripe. I actually stripped the stripe off, masked off the rest of the truck and re-shot the stripe. I still like the 2 tone so I think I am going to do something similar with this one. Leave the top black but do gunmetal color on the whole bottom half.
Name it Dark-n-Sinister haha

Welcome to DF! I had a '93 that had the same problem and i fixed it the same way, then I replaced the pinstripe with my own

I do miss this truck, got me into a lot of trouble which was why I traded it, but man, if I could get it back, I would do it in a heartbeat, 5.2L w/ Mopar Performance Computer, Pacesetter Headers, Mustang 5.0L HO injectors, trans cooler, it was a screamer
