Default hello and help

Hello from the Pacific Northwest,

I just baught a 92 dakota extended cab w/ 5.2/46RH for $200 but it needs a tranny. The problem is i cant afford a complete rebuild for $1500+, and none of the junkyards in the area have one. Can i bolt in a tranny from another dodge, maybe a 1500 ram?

Thanks for the help.

Any ram or van or even jeeps with the v8 magnum will work from 92-95. Just make sure you get the same drive train. If yours is 2wd. Make sure you get a 2wd or vice versa.

ok thanks for the info, the local junk yards were telling me that a tranny from a 1500 wouldnt work it had to be from a 92-93 dakota, it just didnt sound right so i needed a second opinion.
