The shaft of the manual sensor is shorter if I remember right. Your both right, it wouldn't have run right from the get go. If I am remembering right, I would not have been able to install the sensor....would have hit the fly wheel.

Yeah, that's how mine was from when I did the swap. The new sensor is shorter than the old one.

It sounds like you haven't solved your problem yet?

Like I stated before, I don't think its related to the swap.

After talking to ya'll, I don't think it is either.

Anyone have any ideas on how I figure out which ECM I need to get? Since I gotta change it anyway, I was going to get a manual ECM, but if I can't figure out how to tell which one I need, I may have to just go back with the replacement for the auto one I have installed currently.

I still have my factory computer sitting in the garage for a '95 318. Let me know if you want it and we can work something out.

Advance says they can order it for me, but they need to know which one to order. Obviously the swap makes that sort of difficult. I don't know the difference between the two manual ECM's so can't even make an educated guess. Like I said, it is starting to look like I will just have to order the replacement auto ECM and go with that.

I haven't tried the local Dodge dealer yet. They were very helpful through out this whole swap. They went the extra mile and figured out exactly what I was doing and what was needed. The counter help gave some good suggestions and even pointed out a thing or two I hadn't considered. Maybe they will know which one I need.

Thanks for all the help. Will keep you guys updated as I find out more.
