Default 6x9 speakers

has anyone ever put 6x9 speakers in the space of the holes in a dakota . i have some old speakers and id like to get them in my truck. i

No I haven't, but a die grinder (or sawsall with a very short blade if you have no air compressor) and some self-tapping screws should do the trick.

i have 6x9s, but i couldnt get them to fit in the holes, i think your best bet is to just stick them in boxes and put them on the floor in the backseat (unless you use your backseat regularily)

ya i thought about the boxes but i like the useable space. i think im going clear space out in the door panels and use these plastic mounts from the back of a oldsmobile. il get some photos if i get it to work

Ya I did. I just use a jig saw to make my cuts and cut it. For me it was easy.
