Default intake gasket question

well i was looking around, and a lot of you guys are just using black RTV for a gasket on the rear diff. my question is, is this stuff also safe to use as an intake manifold gasket too? if so, do you think that this would blow out just as fast as an original intake gasket?

i just figured that since im buying the black RTV so that i can do the fluid change on the rear diff, that maybe i could use it on the intake manifold too.

Its is not good to use only rtv on the intake. If you use it lightly with a real gasket it is okay, but not by it self. Just go to autozone and buy one. I bet it is no more then 30. You don't want the rtv to come loose on you and leave you stranded.
