Default Motor mounts in 2nd Gen vs. 1st Gen

Anyone know if the motor mounts remained the same in the second gen dakotas as compared to the first gen? Specifically in 1997. I would like to put a 318 from a 97 dakota into my 95 V6. I think they should be the same if I understood the motor mount document in the FAQ2, but it specifically said he didn't know where the mounts were in the 2nd gen.

Is there a problem with your v6 mounts. I could be wrong, someone else who has done a v6-v8 swap would know better, but I think you can use your v6 mounts for the v8. The frames were very close to, if not the same between gens 1 and 2, so you should be fine there, but the engine mounts also hold the front axle, and I don't think they used the same front axle in gen 2, so you might run into a problem there.

Your V6 mounts will work for the V8. Verry simple!
