hello i have a 1993 dakota with a 5.2 and auto tranny 4x4. my question is my tranny fluid looks like it is burnt but will shift into all gears until it gets hot then it locks up the transmission and the engine. im thinking the torque converter is gone or the whole tranny but i dont know. also could you guys tell me what vehicles dodge put this tranny in so i can check out the local salvage yards just in case. the people that run them here are dumb they will only tell you what they have for your vehicle. they wont help you with interchanging. thanks for the help.

 

The tranny is a 46rh. It came only on v8s from 92-95. On rams dakotas vans grandcherokees.
