Default Turns over won't start

I have been trying to get my 1995 dakota with a 318 to run. I have no spark at the coil, I have no fuel, I am not hearing the fuel pump buzz when i turn on the ignition key. I have check all the fuse's and they seem to be ok. I was grasping at straws an put a cam sensor in under the distributor. I am not sure what the ingition sequence is for sure. I understand that there is a crank position sensor but don't know if that would be the problem. I have checked the rotor and the rotor moves but i have not check it for number one position. If i turn the key on 3 time in a row will a 95 give me a code and if so how do i inturpit it. Thank you Craig

These trucks have an ASD Auto Shut Down relay. It controls your Ignition coil and fuel injectors. There is a wire splice that can go bad. Check the FAQ for a write up on it. FAQ also has a lists of codes and how to read the flashes. Yes 95 will do the codes.

I know this thread is old but I have the same truck with the same problem and I couldn't find anything in the FAQ. I plan on just taking it to a mechanic cause I don't have the time or resources, but what exactly should I tell them?

Tell them what it is doing! Also don't be scared to post up a new thread.

Guys and gals...had the same problem with mine. It was a bad factory splice. If you read my post, it explains it in detail ( one of our members posted a how to which I copied and pasted in my post ). It only took a couple of hours to find and fix. As long as you have a multimeter, the only real cost was a roll of electrical tape.
I don't know what the garage rate is where you guys are ( $95/hour here ) but that can add up to a pretty fat garage bill.
