Stroker
ok, well, my mission to find an engine is over... however its not exactly the one i wanted. i was looking for a running 360, but one of my buddies recently blew his 318 and is willing to give it to me free of charge when he gets a new one put in. now what i want to do, because im not sure on the condition of the engine (being that its blown and all...), i wanna build a stroker out of it. i was thinking a 390 stroker, but im not too educated in the boring and decking area of things. so mainly what im asking is, can i make a 390 out of a 318? if so, how much over bore? what would the liter conversion be (i used to know how but i forgot...)? and where might i find all the parts for this? and in trying to make things a little easier, is there a specific kit for stroking out a 318? if there is, thats what i will go with.

Yes, a 390 is a 318 with a 4 inch crank and .030 overbore. 390 cu in is 6.4L. I'm not sure where the best place to get a 318 stroker it is, but here is one...
