Default 1987 Dodge Dakota 3.9L dip stick

What is the length of your dip stick? When I put mine it it is hard to push in and usually bends as well as a little tough pulling out. I really do not go by the readings on it since I think it is the wrong one. I do not remember when I did the last oil change if it read with in the lines or not I wanna say it did not.
Thanks,
Brad
