Exclamation 89 auto trans slipping help!!!

Im a new member and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Tonight i was driving through a drive through with a dip in it and must have taken it too fast because when i put it back into drive the transmission started to slip. I have an 89 2wd auto with about 110,000 miles on it. Is it possible that i knocked something loose? I checked the fluid levels and it was right where it should have been but it had a slight bunt smell to it.
Thanks again for any help.

If you smell burnt fluid most likely clutches are dying. Check out the FAQ in this section for a transmission diagnostic chart.
