cruise control won't shut off
96 dakota 318 The cruise control works fine, but when I try to shut it off it stays on. The only way to get it off is to turn the truck off. Where should I look first, at the switch? Thanks Mark

Its probably either a faulty electrical connection or a faulty speed control servo. I would suggest you download the '96 Dakota FSM. The link for it is in either FAQs or FAQ2. It has a section devoted to the cruise control which includes troubleshooting.
