Default 93 dakota leaking tranny fluid

When I got the truck it had a pretty good leak, so I pulled the pan and replaced the filter and installed a new pan gasket. Everything is torked right, but its still leaking. I cant tell if its from the pan or not, but before I pull a brand new gasket out I was wondering if there are any other likely places to check. It seems to be the heaviest on the front end of the pan. Thanks

It may be the gasket. Some can shift out of place. You can check the o-ring on the dip stick. The best way is to clean it up. Then get out a flashlight and a mirror and check every corner.

Finally got around to looking at it and it is the dipstick tube thats leaking. Is it a pretty generic O ring? Does the tube just pull out easily or is it bolted in. Thanks

Yes it just slides out. But there is a bolt half way up the tube.
