Default Emergency brake light on

Today after using my emergency brake because of being parked on a slope, I released the brake and the dash emergency light stays on. Fluid levels are good, feels like emergency brake released and brakes don't get hot. What else should look for?

Put your foot behind the pedal and pull towards you just a bit. If that trips it it may just be a little loose or the spring may not be pulling it all the way out. Thats what mine does.

A used car dealership owner told me to spray silicone spray on everything I could around the pedal, linkage, etc. and work it a few times. Tried it and now the light goes off.

you can tighten the cable up under the truck below the tranny and stuff and that will help keep it up
