Default Single Slider VS Dual Slider Rear Window?

My truck has the dual sliding rear window which I'm not very fond of, both in terms of funtionality and looks, it sticks out from the cab a ways and is the ugliest feature of the truck IMO. I've noticed many other 1st gens have single slider rear windows which look mush better. Why were there 2 different rear windows? Is mine aftermarket maybe? I assume any 1st gen rear window will fit in my truck, correct?

I've seen the dual slider on a Dakota in my area, but I also think they are aftermarket. That is a very easy window to change out, no glue or bolts hold it in, just the rubber strip. Any 1st gen Dakota back glass will fit. the 2nd gen back glass MIGHT, but don't hold me to it!
