Default some info i have put together from the mark III

someone had emailed me asking for detailed pictures of the differences of the interior in the markIII, but being how i have thrown some pieces out due to being broken/cracked i put together a list. this MAY or MAY NOT be FAQ worthy, but there is next to NO INFO on the mark III. if anyone has a non markIII truck and has any of these things, i'd like to compare.

(NOTE: i just copied my reply to him and posted it in a thread, the end of e-mail is noted with "-----")

i will definitely take more pictures of the interior. they had (real) stained wood that went over the plastic wood dash pieces. but i took them off and tossed them in the garbage, they were cracked and damaged.

there was wood on the bottom of door panels, they were also broken so i THINK i tossed them.

there were also wood inserts for the carpet area above arm rest on the doors, i have them but one is primer, the other is painted black.

the over head piece is still stained wood, haven't taken it out yet to paint. but it is also a "mood light"

then there is a wood trim at the bottom of the back seats that can be seen in my pictures in my stereo thread.

and there is also a similar one right under the back sliding window.

it has a rear power sliding window. but i haven't tracked down why it doesn't work yet.
-------

obviously the ground effects/running boards are part of the mark III package.

i will be taking pictures, and posting them on this thread of the markIII specifics that i have found so far.

Ya it sounds like all that is listed is not factory. I like the power rear window. I didn't think anything this old would have one. That is sweet I want to see pics of that. I will post in the FAQ. Like you said it is something more than we got. Post up any links or anything else you got. Here is the pics from the outside if anyone wants to see. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ml#post1696761

i haven't found ANY info other than what is found in the FAQ.

my power slider doesn't work there's power to the motor, but the window doesn't move but i'm going to have to track down the problem.

truck also had bug shield on hood with MarkIII logo

LUND sun visor is also on the truck

on the dash piece that overlaid the cup holder section- there was an engraved MarkIII logo also.

i'm going to snap some pictures right now, but the quality wont be top notch because it's dark/rainy outside

I just picked up a power rear sliding window from the local salvage yard. I did some research after I got home on it as I thought only the markIII dakotas had that as I found it on a regular xtended cab. I found that the only difference with the MarkIII edition was the full length fiberglass running boards and the wood inserts in the cab and the MarkIII emblems and a different style of rims. You can still buy the rear power sliding window on ebay for about 500 bucks. It was a dealer option that you could buy at the local dealership back than in there parts department.
