1st gen Dakota with a red interior?
Ive been looking for interior parts.. been to 5 junkyards and all ive found are Daks with grey interior. Also asked around, and nobody else seems to have red.
Am I alone here?

 

Nope, you're not alone. I have that vomit inducing red interior also. I intend to remedy that however, I have the red vinyl, plastic and carpet with tan headliner and visors. I have replaced the headliner with Black headliner material and my wife is recovering the visors in black material to match. As for the red, I picked up some DuPont vinyl/plastic spay paint and I am going to paint it all black. Finally the carpet with get replaced as well. I try to post pics as I get stuff done but that won't be anytime in the near future.

 

It is the opposite here. All I can find is the red interior at my junkyards. I have Grey. I had to replace my seat belt buckle the other week and It took me forever to find something that will work.

Well, I wouldnt call the interior vomit inducing, but then i dont have a tan headliner.. that sounds horrible.

I just found an 89 in the junkyard with a I4 and a 5 speed with red interior, only one ive seen with red interior

 

ive tried craigslist and ebay. no luck there, ive decided to just repair what ive got at an upholstry shop.

just wondered about the apparent lack of red interiors.
